Jacobite Cavalry - Warfare Miniatures

Finally finished off and based up the second regiment in my Jacobite cavalry brigade. The Earl of Galmoy's horse was one of the larger Jacobite regiments and well thought of. It is also the only one with a description of the uniforms from the period. Even with this head start there is a lot left to the imagination/interpretation. Thus I have a mixture of buff and red coloured waistcoats and breeches to go with their white(ish) coats and red cuffs.

The flag is copied from an example on the League of Augsburg site and painted on thin cotton.

Here is the complete brigade; 2 squadrons of Galmoy's and 2 of Tyrconnel's.

Next up for the period some Danish foot regiments. These can wait a bit though as Les has a vast number of figures for this period back from the painter's awaiting basing, so there is no requirement for more troops to allow some big games to be played.
